Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is an evergreen perennial plant which grows profusely in maritime sands and rocks in Mediterranean climates. The Arabs were probably the first to process the plant and called it ‘desert lily’. Alexander the Great used the gel extract to treat war wounds as it was renowned for its healing abilities. Most ancient civilizations, including the Greeks, Romans, Persians and Indians applied the Aloe Vera extract as ‘first aid’ for wounds, burns and other skin conditions because of its antiseptic properties.

The Aloe Vera extract replenishes and moisturises the skin and restores its natural shine and elasticity.

Limes & Pomegranate

Punica granatum, more commonly known as the Pomegranate, is a fruit-bearing deciduous shrub or small tree found in Asia, Europe, Africa and America.

Lime is a term referring to a citrus fruit which is typically round, green in colour, 3–6 cm in diameter. A good source of vitamic ,C Lime extracts and Lime essential oils are frequently used in perfumes.

A combination of both the Lime and Pomegranate essential oils will help to cleanse and restore skin leaving it toned and protected against the elements.

Sandalwood

The Sandalwood we choose is harvested from the small Santalum Album tree that grows in Indonesia. Sandalwood is one of the oldest incense ingredients and the aroma of Sandalwood oil has been described as warm, woody, spicy, rich, sweet, delicate and floral; it has also been traditionally considered an aphrodisiac. The fragrant base note is initially subtle but develops once applied to warm skin.

Sandalwood essential oil is also highly regarded for its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antiseptic properties, which make it ideal for dry and sensitive skin.
